Short Course on Refugee and Human Rights Law

This short course is offered by the The Forced Migration and Refugee Studies Program at the American University.

Topics covered include:

* application of refugee and human rights law in determining refugee status
* inclusion, exclusion, and cessation clauses
* interviewing methods
* credibility assessment
* the psychological dimensions of the refugee experience.

A quiz in Arabic or English will be held on the final day.

The course is directed by Sharryn Aiken, Legal Specialist of Osgoode School of Law and Refugee Studies Centre York University, Toronto.

Location: Cairo, Egypt

Participants: Anyone interested in refugee issues.
